Code Enforcement Officer Definition
"A Code Enforcement Officer is a sworn or non-sworn inspector, officer or investigator, employed by a city, or county, or city and county, who possesses specialized training in, and whose primary duties are the prevention, detection, investigation, and enforcement of violations of laws regulating public nuisance, public health, safety, and welfare, public works, business activities and consumer protection, building standards, land-use, or municipal affairs."

If filled out online, must be sent to codeenforcement@cityofmontagueca.com. Payment can be online or at City Clerks Office. Must be signed by a City employee to be valid.

Dog Licensing
Every person owning a dog four months or older, which is harbored within the city shall obtain a dog license.
- Dog License fees are due by July 31
- License fees double after July 31
- $10.00 for Spayed/Neutered (Altered) Dogs
- $20.00 for Unaltered Dogs
Seniors 65 and Older:
- $ 7.50 for Spayed/Neutered (Altered) Dogs
- $15.00 for Unaltered Dogs
**OVERDUE FEES ARE DOUBLE THE REGULAR FEE.
